Di was my longest known living relative. She was born three months before we were evacuated to Australia at the start of the Japanese war. Our lives were punctuated with comings-and-goings for many years by boarding school, holidays with family & friends, and by the eventual loss of our parents. Shortly after the war we were so fortunate to have my dear sister, Moira, join us, sadly now we’re a duo & not the formidable & capable trio of ‘Wells Girls’ that we were. We shall continue our lives, however, loving her memory of the happy times & the many years we shared. We shall meet again when my earthly work is done. Maureen
